Queen's Management School
QUCEH is a research centre of Queen's Management School (QMS), Queen's University Belfast (QUB). QMS's mission is to equip leaders to transform local and global business and society through education and research. Its vision is to be an internationally engaged, recognised, and accredited management school that interacts with and influences business and society.
QMS delivers undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes in accounting, economics, finance and management. QMS has benefited from targeted investment from the University in a series of new academic appointments and the result is a vibrant mix of high quality young and established researchers and lecturers.
QMS has been awarded the prestigious and internationally recognised EQUIS accreditation for management and business schools. EQUIS is the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement, and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration. It is managed and run by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and its fundamental objective, linked to the mission of the EFMD, is to raise the standard of management education worldwide.
Research by scholars based at QMS is world-leading in several fields, including economic history. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, the School was placed 13 out of 101 business and management units in the UK by the Association of Business Schools. Supporting research centres constitutes a core part of the School's research strategy.
QMS is located in Riddel Hall, a B1 listed building, designed by W. H. Lynn in 1913. The facility, set in 11 acres of beautiful parkland, is situated within the Stranmillis Conservation Area adjacent to the main University campus. The site comprises a purpose-built Management School and Postgraduate and Executive Education Centre with conference facilities. QMS is currently being expanded, with a new building to be opened in the grounds of Riddel Hall in 2022.
