QUCEH Economic History Outreach and Impact Initiatives

Members of QUCEH are keen to communicate the purpose and usefulness of economic history to wider audiences. Please contact Michael Aldous (m.aldous@qub.ac.uk) to find out more about our various impact initiatives.

COVID-19 Research and Engagement:
QUCEH Research Associates have been working hard to use their insights from economic history to engage with the wider public about the COVID-19 pandemic. This page collects some of their efforts.

Podcasts:
QUCEH Research Associates, Affiliates and Students have contributed to various podcasts to talk about their reseach. This page collects some of these podcasts.

The Long Run Initiative:
The Long Run Initiative (LRI) is a not-for-profit forum founded to: (1) demonstrate the practical value of historical expertise to contemporary decision makers; (2) create dialogue between academics, businesses and government; and (3) provide an independent and international perspective on the challenges facing business and society.

History Now:
Local television station NVTV has featured a number of QUCEH members in its history talk show History Now.

History Counts:
History Counts is a workshop aimed to introduce A-level history students to economics-based approaches to studying history, and show them how quantitative historical data can be used to shine a light on historical debates.

Recent Impact Workshops:
